I too was taken by Becky’s total passion for the truth of liberty. I would write to her and express my gratitude for her undying devotion to standing up for the values all thinking “ real Americans “ hold dear. She was not without a funny side too and I include a mail exchange I had with her a few months back to illustrate:

Me: Hi Becky,

This seems to be the continuing narrative of the clot shot folks:

The vaccine (sp?) makers went from 95% efficacy, to a few “breakthrough” cases, to “ ok, you will get sick but not TOO sick”, to you will be hospitalized and die “but we gave you some false hope along the way”. Hey we’re not God! Sucker

Becky: Excellent summary of their progression of lies, Carl! Thanks!

I expect my year to last, under God, as I've taken no clot shot. Stand firm!

Me: It’s age before beauty Becky, and I’ve got the age part down pat, as I’m sure you are a beautiful human being, and a child of God!

Becky: Oh, I'm gorgeous, alright, esp in the dark. ;)

Me: And I might add, down right funny, and charming.

Becky: As is my valiant correspondent!

Becky was first class on so many levels and she will be missed by us all. My prayers to all her family and friends. But don’t forget, our memories of her are forever!

No one skewered tyrants with the wry joviality of Becky Akers, except Becky Akers, of course.

I looked forward, every day, to seeing which pompous monster she'd next hang dry.

When I scanned the article descriptions on Lew Rockwell's site, and one of them brought forward a smile, I said to myself, "I bet Becky wrote that one." I was usually right.

I had written to her hundreds of times in the last ten and a half years. She answered every time in appreciation and with valuable suggestions, and to my delight, she published some of my commentaries.

Becky Akers was a great columnist, a devout Christian, and a great American, not just American as in South of Canada and North of Mexico, but American as in — Samuel Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Patrick Henry — Liberty.

I miss her. In pace requiescat, Becky Akers. You were indeed a wonderful person.

Thank you for being such a good friend over the years, Becky - both online and through prayer.  I am grateful that your suffering has ended, but ours is only just beginning and will take time to heal - we are truly diminished.

Although I was never fortunate enough to meet you in person, I cherished our correspondence - the loss of which leaves a big hole in my heart.

I am eternally grateful that you were a part of my life and you will never know how much your fearless determination inspired me.

Go in peace, brave warrior - your spirit lives on.

I was an avid reader of Becky's articles at Lew Rockwell's site, and corresponded with her on many occasions.

We saw eye to eye on many topics and she was always very cordial and respectful. I was wondering why I hadn't seen many articles from her recently. Now I know why.

We have lost many freedom warriors recently - Gary North, Bill Sardi, Walter Williams and, now, Becky Akers. This one really hurts because she pulled no punches in her attempts to educate others about the increasing encroachment of tyranny.

May we all pull together and honor her memory by redoubling our efforts to keep the lamp of Liberty shining.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Becky, but we did correspond by email on several occasions. This is a huge loss not just for those who knew her and loved her, but for all those who love freedom and personal autonomy. 

Rest well, O Winsome Warrior. May you find comfort in your Savior's loving embrace. 





Words cannot express the sorrow we feel losing Becky. One of the most virtuous people I have ever met and am sure will ever meet. She was a beacon for liberty. A true individual who lived life to the fullest! You will be missed my friend.
