Ralph was born June 12, 1933, in the City of St. Mary, West Virginia, to parents Andrew Franklin and Myrtle Jane (Locke) Ralston. Ralph was also affectionately known as Dean to his family and friends.
He proudly served his country during the Korean War as a member of the US Air Force and was stationed in Alaska. Ralph worked as a furniture deliveryman for Montgomery Ward and Sears. He enjoyed watching college football – Go Bucks, a “hopeful” Browns fan, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Above all, Ralph loved the Lord and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed sitting on his back patio under his “new” awning enjoying the birds and other wildlife.
Ralph is survived by his daughters: Cindy Kezman, Linda (Jeff) Liebert, Laurie (Ron) Laser, Deanna (Mike) Wells, and Amy (Jesse) Dorner, his grandchildren: Jennifer, Jeffrey, George, Herb, Jason, Steven, Sarah and Ronnie, his great-grandchildren: Ali, Gabrielle, Daniel, David, Aidan, Claudia, Victoria, Eva, Lily, Brynn, Elaynah, Hannah, and Caleb. Papa/G-Pa loved ALL his children so much and prayed for everyone every night. He is also survived by his brother Neville Ray Ralston along with generations of loving nieces and nephews.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 46 years Marcene L. (King) Ralston, and his siblings and their spouses: Mary Lou & Ken Wright, George & Helen Ralston, Clyde & Mavis Ralston, Tom Ralston, Frank Ralston, Wanda Ralston, Ted & Patricia King, as well as his son-in-law Milan Kezman.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with funeral services starting at 12:00 PM at the Rose Hill Funeral Home. Entombment will follow with military honors at Rose Hill Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to “Wounded Warrior Project” since dad was very patriotic and thought since it was Memorial season he would like this.
