Been thinking about you alot recently.  I've been using my "Patti Bags" alot & thinking about your spirit, your sarcastic humor & your kind heart.  You are missed girl friend!

Whoa, Patti, Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl”. First time I heard it was at the Skyway Drive-In on West Market Street with you and some other folk. Time flies. Bless you.

I will never think of our old neighborhood on Bowmanville St. and not think of Patti... The thought of her walking down the street to our house after she got off of work to tell Liza it was time to go home brings back very nostalgic memories.  She would sometimes sit on our porch talking to my Mom for an hr or two when she got there, which was great because it meant more playtime for us!  I wish she could know what a great legacy she has left with all of us kids that hung out on Bowmanville St because she was always "the cool Mom" I never even remember her getting mad about anything, which, being a mom myself is very impressive!  Patti was an amazing person who was loved and will be missed and I am just happy to say that I knew her!

We met in 1967 at Clearwater Pool in Hartville and shared an adrenaline inspired Summer before my return to  Columbus for my Sophomore year at OSU.  Forty years passed before your name came up in  Jaco Beach Costa Rica when I met Denny O'Brian, another Akron native.   We dined at Ken Stewart's after Denny's sudden passing and kept in touch from his shared friendship , and now you too are gone.  I will cherish the memories of our friendships. 

I met Patti through Kellie and Denise then met Liza & Tommy.  Our girls became friends and playmates when Liza watched my girls after school at Betty Jane. I know Patti was excited to finally be moving to Florida to be closer to her family.  I know she’s happy and at peace that she’s there with them now.

Patti, I hope your entrance into heaven was grand beautiful lady!  Liza is following into your footsteps being the most wonderful mother that you were to her!!! You will be missed by so many!  Apologies sent, we couldn’t make it to the service but I bet it was beautiful!    Sending love and prayers to you all at this very difficult time!!

You were like my second mom that really understood me. You knew how to be cool, but you also knew how to give advice without judging and being too pushy. I wish I would have been better about keeping in touch!! One day we will see each other again and we can sit and chat it up all over again!

Where did the years go girlfriend?  We met in 2nd grade & the years rolled on with you & I winding in & out of each other's life.  The irony & the joy in learning our granddaughters would be in kindergarten together.  The sadness holding your hand & telling you to fight to live so you could have your 3rd act in Florida.  And knowing you probably wouldn't make it to that third act.  I love you my friend & I believe one of these days I'll see you again.  


Patti was our neighbor for 25 years.  We had many good times and bad times together but we was always there for each other.  She is missed beyond words that can express.  Our heartfelt sympathy to Liza and her family.  Rest in peace, Patti.

She was so excited to have sold her home and was on  her way to Florida . We often talked about  your family and mentioned all of you by name, I just recently gave her a big hug about the great doctor results, and will  always cherish  her friendship.
Her smile lit up a room, our entire staff will miss her greatly

Hey There!

Remember all the friends you had in elementary, junior high, senior high, college, post-college, no college, the armed and/or social services, etc.? Isn't it amazing to look back over the years, and think about different times - face to face, by telephone, cell phone, smartphone, email, snail mail, instant messaging, tweets, that we all shared with one another?

Then it happens.  You see someone from that past, and you reconnect like you just saw them yesterday or last weekend.  It was like that for me seeing Patti, and many of my classmates, and sadly, some family members too.  We could laugh about something that happened at a Reunion, Birthday Party, or way back to high school.  Patti and I would stand outside at the Tangier, or the Sportsmen Park out on Jacoby Rd, or the Hilton, or Holiday Inn, and laugh and be silly, return to the function all composed like we hadn't said something off the wall.  We all know Patti was good at speaking her mind about every, and anything.  That was just Patti.  I will truly miss her.  She was in my corner, no matter how I was feeling at the time.

She was a bounce-back person, a true fighter for what she believed in whether in her life/health, family, friends, even her political views, correct, or not, she stood her ground. Our Patti.  May our LORD and Saviour bless her and us too. His Plan to move Patti to a brand new Heavenly home, really surpassed our thoughts on moving.  Didn't it?

Met Patti when we worked at REX.   She was so easy to like.  Loved talking with her.  She loved life and adored her daughter.

Patti, you were my treasured friend.  Together we were looking forward to great times.   We had an unforgettable, and  wonderful time back in September 2019 - you brought life into this home.  You have gone on to a better place, free of pain and heartache, while you dance through the clouds,  and twinkle down on us in the night sky.  You will always have a special place in my heart because of your kindness, love, beautiful smile, and that wonderful laugh.  

Patti was hard core REAL -- a blue collar survivor, genuine music maven, helplessly hopeful romantic, dream weaver, memory maker and selfless, unfailing friend. Patti is unforgettable.  

Patti and I were friends for over 60 years.  I moved in next door to her when we were in Jr. High at Simon Perkins.  So many memories of good times in Akron.  Rest in Peace my friend.

Patti Mullaney was a shining light.  We met in the late 60's and she epitomized the "Peace & Love" movement of the time. Always positive and with that infectious smile, she spread her love of life and music to us all.  It was a gift to have known Patti Mullaney.  She made life better.
