Nancy was born November 4, 1932 in Akron to the late Haldor and Edna (Bowie) Brown. She was a graduate of Akron South High School and the Akron Business College.
She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Uniontown where she was active in the choir. She was also active with the Uniontown Community Festival. Her church and community were important to her.
Nancy also enjoyed the time she spent with Lake Community Players.
Besides her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D. Semester;
She is survived by her daughters, Laurie (Tom) Swansiger and Karen (Scott) Stephan; four grandchildren, Holly (Adam) Nowicki, John (Briana) Swansiger, Sarah (Josh) Furrow and Samuel Stephan; a great-granddaughter Charlotte Nowicki; sister Barbara Lee Reinfeld, two brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be 11AM Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the Rose Hill Funeral Home and Burial Park, 3653 W. Market St. in Fairlawn; friends may call one hour prior to the service (10-11AM) at the funeral home. Interment in Rose Hill Burial Park.
