Miriam was born on October 30, 1931 in Akron, Ohio to Roderick and Annie (Nicklin) Ellis. She graduated from Bath High School and worked for the Halle Company. She was a traveling musician playing at many nursing homes and the Autumn Festival at Kent State. She was a member of Clan MacPherson, and Scotia. She volunteered for the Red Cross on the Blood Mobile, and at a private horse farm helping the disabled. On June 28, 1948, Miriam married William Pierson, and they were married for 50 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Deborah.
Miriam will be deeply missed by her daughter, Colleen Pierson, brother, James (Patricia A.) Ellis, and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Friends and family may come to call on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 11-12. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
