Mary Hilda Wotring

Mary was born on May 12, 1930 in Albright, West Virginia to Charles Ralph and Mary Murhl (Wolfe) Smith. She worked for Kroger Grocery Store for over 20 years. Mary was an active member of Valley Community Church in Doylestown. She loved to sew, crochet, and play solitaire. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Godfrey, daughter, Pamela Averill, daughter-in-law, Cindy Wotring, and brother, Roy D. Smith.

Mary will be deeply missed by her children, GC “Sonny” (Betty) Wotring, and Brenda (David) Burbridge, grandchildren, David (Jennifer) Burbridge, Jr., Daniel (Tennille) Wotring, Charles (Shelly) Wotring, Kimberly (Bron) Thomas, Jason (Lisa) Ritenour, Jaime (Herb) Whitacre, Jeremy (Vanessa) Ritenour, and Janet (Dana) Short, and Kimberly Sparks, 19 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, sister-in law, Betty Smith, brothers-in-law, Dale (Joann) Wotring and Glen (Genny) Wotring, son-in-law, Tom Averill, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may come to call on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 5-7 pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 3653 West Market, Akron, Ohio. Funeral services will be Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Rose Hill Funeral Home. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
