She passed away April 21, 2018 surrounded by her family.
Preceded in death by her husband Albert L Varner; brothers Wayne, Glenn, and Bill; sisters Althea Cochran Rowely and Louise Martz.
She is survived by her siblings Ed (Lana) Thompson, Winnie (Paul) Martz, Elaine (Terry) Logsdon, and Jean Kraizel; her children Fran, Lewis, Jeff, Adrienne (Danny), Barry, Frank, John (Toni), Alex (Mona), Karla (Chris) and granddaughter Kathryn (Eddie) Witchey-Lewis; along with many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Mary loved teaching Sunday School at Faith Assembly Free Gospel Church, she worked for Woolworth’s in downtown Akron, St. Thomas Hospital, and after many years of service retired from Middlebury Manor Nursing Home.
