Kim was born on January 18, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio to Roy and Gladys (Mains) Miller. He graduated from East High School in Akron and then went on to receive his Associates Degree from Stark State. Kim served in the US Marines during Viet Nam, receiving the Viet Nam Campaign Metal, Viet Nam Service Metal, National Defense Service Metal, Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation (Gallantry Cross Color), Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Rifle Sharpshooter Badge. After arriving home from Vietnam, Kim worked for BF Goodrich for 20 years. Kim then worked as a physical therapist assistant at several nursing homes.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Lindsay Miller.
Kim will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Pamela, children, Christy Miller and Brian (Jennifer) Miller, grandchildren, Chloe, Sadie, Liam, and Charlotte, and cousin, Craig (Julie) Cornmesser.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 1:45 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marine Corp Toys for Tots or Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund in Kim’s name.
