I have so many memories of Karen and so many of them involved laughter.  One time we were working on the same quality control project together at work.  It involved ticketing so Karen asked me if I wanted to ticket or whether I wanted to bag and label the pieces of merchandise. I said that I would ticket.  Karen proceeded to  ticket a piece and then another and finally she had the hundred plus pieces all ticketed.  I kept thinking that she must really wanted to  have ticketed.  All of a sudden she realized that she was going to bag and label.  I told her that I had been thinking that she must really want to ticket those pieces!  We laughed and continued to each time we thought of that.   I will miss her and my heart hurts.  

Karen was a classmate from elementary school through high school. I am so glad that we re-connected through Facebook fairly recently. She was a warm, compassionate person, cheerful and upbeat in her attitude. Her sweet smile will be missed by many.  May God comfort the hearts of her family and friends.

I was very saddened to learn of Karen's passing yesterday, actually shocked as well! I am so very sorry for your loss! Karen and I met about 12 yrs ago, through a mutual friend...Penny French.
I know Karen had some difficult times in the last few years, especially after the surgery on her foot, but she always tried to be cheerful and thankful in spite of the pain; she was fiercely independent! Karen, Penny and I all loved to go out to eat, sometimes the 3 of us, sometimes just Karen and Penny. Last July Karen and I went to breakfast, never dreaming it would be the last! I will miss Karen...we had some great conversations and we both understood how very difficult and isolating it is, not to have your own transportation! Penny was always there to help, taking Karen wherever she needed to go, and they were such longtime friends, I know It was hard on Karen when Penny passed! Then last year the loss of her sister-in-law left a huge void in her life! I remember her telling me how much she missed and loved Mary! I will always remember Karen as a sweet, kind and generous person...willing to help in any way  she was able. Karen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her!!!

Karen was a friend who we had never met but talked on the phone. We live in Nevada and she would keep us posted about my husbands sister there in Ohio and then we would chat on the phone or Facebook Messenger. It’s a true kind person that would reach out to people she didn’t even know to give them information about their relative and then have a warm chat as if she had known you a long time. We will miss her. 

You could always count on Karen to be a smiling face at Sterling. I am so sorry to hear of her passing.
