Born on Strawberry Hill-Sand Run Road of Bath. Frank was the twelfth child of fourteen children of Frank and Mary Shepherd. Frank served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and trained in underwater welding while being stationed at Pearl Harbor for the last two years of World War II. After the war, Frank returned to Beaver Falls, PA. and attended Geneva College.
In 1947, Frank moved to Akron, Ohio where he led a successful roofing business for 50+ years. Also, during that time, Frank met and married his beautiful bride of 42 years, Lovone Shepherd. Frank and Lovone lived and raised their family in the Fairlawn-Montrose area. He also enjoyed baseball and was a big Cleveland Indians fan

Preceeded in death by his wife Lovone (nee Cook), parents Frank,Sr.(1949). and Mary (1978).
Survived by his children Bob(Mary), Pam Shepherd, Gilbert ( Cathy), Alan ( Barbie).
Grandsons, Joshua, Jeremiah, Justin, Jonathan, Jordan, Colbey and two sisters Mary Short of Phoenix, AZ. and Ruth Fuetter of Medina, OH.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 20th, 10am at the St. Paul Episcopal Church, 1361 West Market Street, Akron 44313 (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH).
The family will receive friends at the CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME 3653 W. Market Street Fairlawn, Wednesday, February 19, 5pm-8pm.
