Dennis (Denny) L Simmons, age 77, of Akron, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024 after a brief illness.
Denny was born August 2, 1947 in Akron to the late Berlin L. and Thelma M. (Tingler) Simmons. Dennis was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War.
Denny was a very creative architectural designer and a very talented artist. He enjoyed working in the yard, building things and spending time with his family. His artwork and memories will continue to fill our homes and hearts.
Denny is survived by his wife, Janice Simmons; his daughters, Kellie (Michael) Rizzo and Amanda (Randy) Mieskoski; and his grandsons, Ryan and Dylan Rizzo.
Interment with military honors will be at 10:45AM on Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, Ohio 44273. Immediate family may gather at the cemetery information center 15 minutes before the Interment.
