Carl Junior J Stevens "Junior"

Carl J. Stevens “Junior” went home peacefully on May 8, 2016 at the age of 76. He is survived by his daughter Stacy Remark (Chris) and his three grandchildren, Katie, Emily, & Christopher Remark of Uniontown. He also leaves three nephews & a niece, Rick Stevens (Tracey), Chris Stevens (Wendie), Mike Stevens (Jodi), and Tina Tarter along with several great nieces and nephews. He will be missed by family members from Kansas and Youngstown as well.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother Carl Sr. & Katherine Stevens and brothers Johnny & Richard.

He was born on February 17th, 1940 and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School. He was skilled in refrigeration repair and worked at Lawson’s, Tri-Vector, and OPEC. His friends and family will remember him as a kind gentle man that could cook an amazing meal. He will be forever known for his witty comments and silly character that brightened all of our days. He passed down his love of fishing to his daughter, nephews & niece, and their children. Many a Sunday were spent fishing and receiving a “twenty” for the first fish caught.

Calling hours will be Friday, May 13th from 2:00 – 5:30 PM with the funeral service at 5:30PM in the Catavolos Funeral Home 3653 W Market St. Fairlawn, OH. In lieu of flowers, please feed the birds generously, as Carl loved them so. Carl’s daughter would like to thank the staff at Aultman Hospital, St. Joseph’s Care Center, & Crossroads Hospice for their loving care. A special thank you to Carl’s other “family” at The Inn at Whitewood in North Canton. He shined bright there because of all of your love.
