Ronald James McKnight

Ron was the loving brother of: Beverley Baddeley (Archie), Steven (Rosie) and Colleen Rolfe (Willis).

He was predeceased by his parents Jim and Joan and was “Uncle Ronnie” to Kim Craig (Jason), Rachel and Darryl McKnight, Robbie and Vikki Rolfe and the late Jimmy and great-uncle to Rebecca Lynn and Jacob Rolfe.

Ron was a former employee of the Town of Halton Hills, a member of the Town’s Accessibility Committee, past President of the Rotary Club of Acton, 1980 Acton Citizen of the Year, 1984 OMHA’s Honour Award,

1998 Georgetown Hockey Heritage Award, a 2009 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee and above all a true and loyal fan of the Montreal Canadians. “Go Habs Go”

The family will receive friends at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill Street East, Acton on Thursday, June 13th, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with a Legion Tribute at 6.45 p.m.

The funeral service to celebrate Ron’s Life will be conducted by the Rev. Ralph Neil on Friday at two o’clock

in the Gordon McCutcheon Hall of the R.C.L. Branch 197.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Knox Presbyterian Church Elevator Fund or the Rotary Club of Acton

would be appreciated by the family.
