Bob was born May 3rd 1944 to Lois and Harvey Jestin. He leaves behind his wife Kathy, daughters Christine, Sharon (Peter dec.) and Sandra, his son-in law Ed, his four grandchildren Toban, Chantal, Tyler and Caleb and many cousins and extended family members. He is predeceased by his sister Betty Ann (1949).
Bob was a proud lifelong resident of the village of Everton, Ontario and trusted, involved member of his community. He worked for the Township of Eramosa, volunteered with the Rockwood Fire Department, acting as Captain for several years, played on and coached Rockwood baseball teams, maintained the Everton cemetery, and was an active member of the Rockwood Lion’s Club. He was always willing to help out a neighbour and never shied away from hard work. Bob was a dedicated vegetable gardener, enjoyed fishing, jigsaw puzzles and watching sports, especially baseball and hockey. Bob carried on his family tradition of making maple syrup each spring.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Ken and Brennan for their support.
A private family gathering will be held and Bob will be interred at the Everton Cemetery.
Donations in his honour can be made to The Rockwood Lions Club or East Wellington Community Services.
