A creative soul, Monica enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening and started to paint later on in life. She embraced technology to text family and loved to play her daily challenges in Sudoku and Solitaire. Her family and friends will miss her cooking; especially her pies and canned goods. There was nothing Monica enjoyed more than holidays when the house was full of family. She seemed to thrive on the chaos of up to 30 people enjoying her home cooked meals and the overall chaos that always accompanied cousins and siblings playing cards or wrestling in the living room. Monica loved the adventures of road trips and taking the time to explore Canada from coast to coast.
Most of all, Monica loved and doted on her grandchildren and family. She always connected with her loved ones, spending much of her day catching up with their news even if by phone. She was the favourite aunt of many nieces and nephews and a mother figure to her children and grandchildren’s friends. She will be remembered fondly and forever loved by all of her family, nieces and nephews and dearest friends.
