John Eric Chisholm

March 18, 1946 ~ December 6, 2016

It is with a heavy heart, the family of John Chisholm announces his peaceful and dignified passing, with his daughter by his side, on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the Georgetown Hospital.

John was the proud and loving father to Andrea Reid and her fiancé Gareth James of Acton, his adored grandson’s Connor Reid and Spencer James. John is survived by his siblings; Betty Chisholm, Walter Chisholm and his sister-in-law Margery and her family, all in Nova Scotia. John is predeceased by his brother Doug and his parents Eric and Helen.

John was a loving character, and will be missed by all his friends, his social circles at McDonald’s and at the Pickled Piper in Georgetown, and the extended Bydal and Clark families.

John took an active and proud role in the Canadian Baton Twirling Federation, The Ontario Baton Twirling Association and was a strong supporter of his daughter’s Baton Career with the Kings National Baton club for many years.

John’s goal in life was to make people smile.

Friends will be received at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill Street East, Acton on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to C.A.S.H.H or to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by his family.
