Florence Smart

Devoted wife, mother, Granny, and great grandma, she is predeceased by her husband Ross, her five brothers and two sisters, her son-in-law Colin, and her grandson Tommy. She is survived by her sister Marjorie Robinson, her sister-in-law Elizabeth Herbert; her three children, Terry Smart (and Shirley), Patricia Ono (and Mark), and Linda Baynes; her grandchildren, James Smart (and Angie); Christopher Ono (and Marianne), Matthew and Amanda Ono; Elizabeth, Jeremy, and Heather Baynes; and her great grandchildren, Beren and Greyson Smart; Ian and Niall Ono.

She led a full and active life as a commissioner of Girl Guides, a talented artist who taught painting, and as an active member in the United Church in Capreol and in Acton. She was a good and faithful servant.

Family will be receiving friends on Monday, April 21, from 7 -9 pm and on Tuesday, 12 - 1 pm at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home at 55 Mill Street, Acton (1-877-421-9860). The funeral service to celebrate Granny’s life will be held at Trinity United Church at 70 Mill Street, Acton, on Tuesday at 2 pm.

The family thanks the wonderful caregivers at the Bennett Healthcare Centre and The Georgetown Hospital for their support, their caring, and their love.
