Dorothy Eleanor Thompson

Dorothy was predeceased by her husbands Gordon Leroy Thompson (1967) and Murray Ralph Pyatt (1987).

She will be sadly missed by her daughters Heather and Roberta and her stepchildren Kathy Jeffries and Marshall Pyatt. She was predeceased by her

sister Marion, brother Robert and parents Bill and Ida Gifford.

Dorothy was born on September 5, 1924 in Newcastle, N.B. She grew up in Newcastle, where she met and married Gordon Thompson. After the War they lived in Toronto and then moved to Acton in 1955 where they lived until moving to Limehouse in 1966.

Dorothy retired from Orenda Engines after more than 30 years of service.

The family will receive friends at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home “Shoemaker Chapel”, 55 Mill Street East, Acton (1-877-421-9860 – toll free) on Friday, August 3rd from one o'clock until the Service of Remembrance, which will be celebrated by the Rev. Peter Barrow at two o'clock.

The Eastern Star Service will take place at 12.30 p.m.

Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Acton.
