It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of John at Extendicare, Halton Hills at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Penrice) for 65 years. Loving father of Sharon (Kevin) Perkins, Cliff (Teresa), Linda and Bryan (Cheryl). Proud grandfather of 10 and a doting great grandfather of 11. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Betty Creasey and his grandson Shane. John leaves behind his cherished sister Mary “Molly” and her family. He came to Acton at the age of 2, when his parents moved here from Galt. As a young man John enjoyed fishing, hunting and baseball, which he later coached and Scouts. John started work at Force Electric in Acton and then worked for 32 years at AMC and Chrysler. John was a long time member of St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church and Acton Horticultural Society. In later years he enjoyed collecting antiques and spending Saturdays at the Trunk Sale, selling plants and antique toy cars. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank John’s PSW’s while at home, Dr. Lim and all the staff at the Extendicare Halton Hills for their kind and compassionate care.
Friends will be received at St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church,
19 St. Alban’s Drive, Acton, on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 11-12 p.m.
A Memorial Service will follow at 12 p.m.
Interment at Fairview Cemetery.
