Adam Duane McCoy

From a young age, Adam was a force to be reckoned with, both on and off the ice. His time playing for the Acton Tanners is remembered by many— and not just because he knew how to shoot a puck. Off the rink, he was just as much a teammate as he was on the ice. Adam was the type of guy who could make a friend out of anyone. His friends were his family, and he made sure that everyone felt like they belonged. He had a special quiet, calming presence that made everyone feel at ease. Adam's spirit will continue to resonate within this tight-knit community, reminding everyone of the joy he brought to their lives and the connections that bind them together.

Caitlin, the love of his life, will carry his memory in her heart as she navigates life without him. Their bond was filled with shared laughter, little detours, and a deep understanding of one another, making their time together truly special.

Adam had an incredible knack for remembering every word to his favorite songs, particularly the classics, and he often spoke of childhood road trips singing these tunes in the car.

Grandson to adoring and devoted grandparents Cheryl and Ed Phillips, Merina and Earl McCoy. Adam leaves behind a cherished circle of family and friends, including step brother Brandin, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friend Russell Laffin.

Taken far too soon, Adam’s impact on this world will be felt for years to come, especially in the town he called home. Adam, you will forever be remembered for the way you made life brighter for everyone around you.

There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remains. Adam, forever to be missed, your light in our hearts will never fade.

A visitation for Adam will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill St. East, Acton, ON L7J1H4

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Acton branch 197, 15 Wright Ave, Acton, on Sunday, October 6 from 1 - 5 PM
