Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home 5701 US. Highway 277 S. Abilene, Texas 79606. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8:00 PM also at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Kevin Dale Hart was born on July 21, 1959 in Mesquite, Texas. He was one of five children born to the late Billy Joe and Helen Ruth (Jones) Hart. He grew up in Dallas and attended Skyline High School. Kevin was a naturally gifted musician in high school and could play several instruments by ear. He was first chair violinist in the school orchestra. He joined the United States Air Force and served his country faithfully and honorably until 1995 when he retired. During his military years, he started a family and had two daughters Janice and Clare. His career took him to several stateside bases and abroad internationally as well. He was a loadmaster and electrician on the C130’s. After his military career ended, he began working for The French M. Robertson Unit for many years and then transferred to the Middleton unit.
Kevin processed a deep intelligence. He loved philosophy and was constantly on a path for truth. This journey allowed him to study several different religions. He enjoyed collecting Greek coins. He had a great love for the outdoors and fishing. He married the love of his life Rosa Balderas on May 25, 2013. Kevin became just like a member of her family over the years. Together they created many special memories camping, traveling, and especially cruising. His passing brings to the close the life of a gentle, loving and steadfast husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Hart and his sister, Kerry Foster.
He is survived his wife, Rosa Hart her children, Stephanie Ramirez (Isaiaz) and Jeremy Sanchez; his daughters, Clare Hart and Janice Larsen (Brandon); his grandchildren, Caden Dale Carmack, Lily Anne White, Wyatt Larsen, Alyssa, Anthony, and Andrew Ramirez; great-grandsons, Greyson Dale Carmack and Waylon Glenn; his sister, Kim Richey(Jerry), Karl Hart; aunt Carolyn Hart; mother-in-law, Pauline Balderas; his in-laws,. Virginia Gutierrez (Mike), Anita Minjarez(Carlos), Rudy Balderas, John Balderas(Pauline) Michael Balderas and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
