Troy Leon Morrow, 76, of Abilene, TX passed away peacefully in his sleep March 7, 2017. He was born December 18, 1940 in San Benito, TX to Bob Floyd Morrow and Mattie Lucille (Danley). He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Gordon.
He graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and again in 1966 with a Master of Education. He taught science courses in several districts in Texas over an 8-year span. In 1974 he began to work at the St. David's Cardiopulmonary Lab in Austin, TX and served people there for 26 years. He so enjoyed communicating with people from all over through ham and CB radio. He was happy to have his grandchildren around as evidenced by his smiles. He turned tea-making into one of his crafts. His lasting legacy though lives on because of his unwavering dedication to his earthly family and his church family, faithfully worshiping with congregations in Lubbock (Broadway Church of Christ), Austin (Westover Hills Church of Christ), and Abilene (University Church of Christ).
If there was ever a man who was available to and engaged with his family, it was Troy. From helping with homework to attending extra-curricular activities, he was simply present, guiding his family through life.
He is survived by wife, Sandra Kay (Johnson) Morrow; his sons, Paul and Kile; and grandsons, Jonathan and Luke; and his brother, Bobby.
Memorials may be made in Troy's honor to World Bible School, Inc. 16110 Anderson Mill Rd., Cedar Park, TX 78613 or to Brentwood Christian School, 11908 N. Lamar, Austin, TX 78753.
