Terry Wayne Higgins, age 63, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014. Terry was born November 2, 1951 to W.D. “Bill” Higgins and Cleta Wilson Beall in Abilene, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Abilene and worked for West Texas Glass for many years. Terry loved anything to do with the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Almost daily you could find Terry hanging out at the Bar-B-Q Barn in Buffalo Gap visiting with friends and sharing stories. Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Cleta Beall and brother, Rodney Higgins. Survivors include his father, W.D. “Bill” Higgins and wife, Eudera of Abilene; son, Dustin Hofmann and wife, Julie of Abilene; sister, Karen Allen and husband, Bryan of Midland; grandchildren, Allie and Bernadette Hofmann; niece, Hillary Allen; nephew, Tyler Allen; and great nephew, Bradyn Nikolai. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South, Abilene. Graveside services will be held 2:00p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery.
