Teresa was born in Abilene on February 6, 1935 to Juanita Perez and David Trinidad. A lifelong resident of Abilene, she met & married the love of her life, Gilbert “Chove” Villarreal on August 25, 1951.
Teresa was such a giving, loving, caring and supportive wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma; not to mention a great friend! Early on in her marriage, her and her husband traveled together across the United States, all the while doing migrant work and raising all 6 of their children. Later on in life, once traveling had stopped, she dedicated much of her time as an amazing homemaker. After several years, she made the decision to go and work for the Abilene Independent School District as a bus monitor. Everyone at the bus barn would refer to her as, “Mother Teresa”, and loved her deeply. Teresa was a prayer warrior for her family and friends; continuously thinking of others before herself. She knew she served a mighty God and her deepest desire was for her family and friends to know Him as well. Teresa was extremely proud of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, every single moment spent with them was special and made her smile. If you were to look up the word “HUMBLE”, Teresa’s name is what you would find. She will be deeply missed, but we rejoice in knowing that she is able to run into her Heavenly Father’s arms and truly have joy, peace and rest like she has always deserved. We love you with all our hearts our beautiful mom and grandma.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Juanita Perez and David Trinidad, her Husband Gilbert Villarreal, her son Victor T. Villarreal and her Granddaughter Analie Victoria Villarreal. She is survived by her children; David Villarreal of Abilene, Rebecca Martinez (Robert) of Abilene, Susan Villarreal of Abilene, Jose Villarreal of Abilene and Robert “Bobby” Villarreal of Abilene; Sister Sally Trinidad of Irving, Texas; Grandchildren; Cynthia Wanjua (John), Amy Jo Hernandez (David), Isaiah Martinez (Amanda), Sarabeth Villarreal, Ilyana Montalvo, Michelle Crawford (Josh), Jaclyn Casarez (Tim), Mallory Scott (Kenny), Jamie Lee Villarreal, Kathleen Villarreal, Ashley Bower & Anthony Bower, David Rodriguez, Stefanie Rodriguez and Staci Rodriguez (Aladin) and 30 great-grandchildren.
All your love and prayers throughout the years will always remain in our hearts grandma. Run, dance, worship, smile and truly be at peace, now you can stop worrying, you are in paradise and can rest! We will see you again soon.
