Suzette was born on September 14, 1934 in Villefranche de Rouergue from her parents Germain and Georgette (Latour) Falieres. She married Gilbert Guetzkow on September 25, 1953 in her hometown in France. She adapted to military life, enjoying travel, and learning new languages, music (especially country), and cultures of the many places she lived in. She resided in various places within the United States, France, Spain, and Germany. She enjoyed her hobbies of sewing, knitting, playing bridge, and watching western movies (especially John Wayne and Shirley Temple). Most of all, she wanted to be with family and wanted to help others everywhere she went. She volunteered at the Dyess Air Force Base Hospital after moving to Abilene.
Suzette is survived by her sons, Patrick and wife, Rebecca of Springfield, Missouri, Steve and wife, Vilinda of Abilene, Texas; and her siblings, Robert, Denise, Gerard, Simone, and Yvette, all of France and Ken Prost and wife Teresa of Lawrence, Kansas. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, George; and a great-granddaughter, Allison.
