Rosemary Ann Pierce, 98, of Abilene, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 in Abilene. She was born on October 16, 1924 in Bicknell, Indiana to the late Gerald Vernon Coonrod and Adrienne Rieu Coonrod. On December 25, 1945 she married Carlton “Skeet” Pierce in Indiana. He preceded her in death in 2001. Mrs. Pierce was a longtime resident of Old Glory, Texas and a former member of the Eastern Star. She attended Ridgemont Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna Letz and husband Tom of Abilene, Deborah Suggs and husband Ricky of Big Spring and Denise Green and husband Terry of Abilene; grandchildren, Bryan Letz and wife Becky, Lori Beck and husband Kris, Jeffrey Suggs and wife Bri, Jennifer Seals and husband James, Cody Green and Nicole Wiedemann and husband Jonathan; 10 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, Bob and Jerry Coonrod; one sister Anna Burdine, one great grandson, Travis Green and one great-great grandson, Jonathan Letz.
A visitation will be from 3:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home in Abilene. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, December 5, 2022 at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rudy Fambrough officiating. Burial will follow at Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Letz, Cody Green, Jeff Suggs, Kris Beck, Jonathan Wiedemann and James Seals.
