Oh Pick, my longtime friend; I miss you already.   
You’ve been a constant in my life for over 50 years, and it’s difficult to imagine the world, and Abilene, without you.
I was privileged to be among your inner circle, with the few folks who understood your talent, humor, Christian devotion, and your quirks.  
You were there at the Genesis of my professional musical exploration, when I was barely shaving.    
Thanks for introducing me to the live performance stage. And introducing me to pranks that later made my adult spine shiver.  Through our collective childhood exploits, learning to be paid musicians,  I experienced the foundation of my first career.
Proud to have been your buddy for all these years.  Thanks for your friendship.  I know you’re already playing ragtime piano for a Heavenly choir.
