Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home with Pastor John Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow in the Abilene Municipal Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday beginning at 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
Ricci was born on June 9, 1960 in Abilene, Texas to Milton L. Young and the late Katherene Fay(Teeters) Young. At a young age, the family moved to Corpus Christi where Ricci was raised and graduated from Mary Carrol High School. Growing up Ricci had a close relationship with his grandmother Evelyn and spent a lot of time with her. He was a Christian and enjoyed attending North Park Assembly of God Church where he was an active member. Ricci also spent time assisting his father in Brick laying. He was a car enthusiast and was an expert at, “tinkering”. Ricci had no children of his own but loved his nieces, great-nieces, and nephews. From an early age, he possessed a natural creativity and created many unique pieces of artwork. Ricci was a simple man and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, talking, being social, and doing crossword puzzles.
He was preceded in death by his devoted mother, Katherene Young; his brother, Mike Young; paternal grandmother, Evelyn Young; maternal grandparents Felix and Xantha Bell (Ribble) Teeters.
He is survived by his father, Milton L. Young; sister, Melinda Guttuso; nieces, Shaleek Lindeman, and Misty Graham; great-nieces, and nephews, Haven, Blake, Keegen, and Hartley; numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
