Phyllis C. McCormick

Phyllis C. McCormick was born in South Bend Indiana to Anthony and Virginia Banner on August 2, 1933. She graduated from Indiana Academy in 1952 she went on to attend Andrews University. While working at a hospital in Orlando Florida, she met a young airmen Raeford McCormick whom she married. She left her career once she had her first and only child Terry to devote herself to being a full time homemaker. Phyllis made an excellent military wife and lived many places both stateside and abroad. She was a member of the Organic Garden Club of Abilene, she enjoyed sewing and was an animal lover. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife and mother and will be missed by all.

Phyllis C. McCormick was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Virginia Banner; brother and sisters Beverly Strom, Thomas Banner, Sandra Wing and Pamela Patton.

Phyllis C. McCormick is survived by her husband of 64 years, SMSgt. Raeford McCormick,USAF(Ret); son,

Terry Ray McCormick of Abilene; sister, Jacqueline Pershing of Granger, Indiana.
