The family will receive friends for a visitation at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday December 7, 2023 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith followed by a Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Eddie Puga of Ambler Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be Friday December 8, 2023 at Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Paul Martinez was born in Rotan, Texas to Victoriano Martinez and Epigmenia Lopez on September 6, 1950. He graduated from Rotan High School in Rotan, Texas. Paul, a passionate individual, always had a knack for fixing things. He found joy in spending his free time tinkering with cars and exploring the world of auto mechanics. Whether it was repairing engines or fine-tuning parts, Paul’s dedication and curiosity led him to become a skilled problem-solver. His love for fixing things was truly a part of who he was. Paul was a proud United States Army veteran, served for two years and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, and Sharpshooter badge for his dedication and skill. His service and contributions will always be remembered.
Paul Martinez was preceded in death by his parents, Victoriano Martinez and Epigmenia Lopez; siblings, Cecilio Martinez, Abel Martinez, Margarita Martinez, Elena Gauna, Paula Hernandez, Lionor Martinez, Carmen Miramontez, Aurora Jimenez, Rebecca Martinez, Solomon Martinez and Eliseo Martinez.
Paul Martinez is survived by his daughter, Leticia Martinez (Omar); siblings, Victor Martinez (Peggy), David Martinez (Lupe) and Petra Martinez; grandchildren, Elijah Martinez, Aleena Martinez, Michael Martinez and Noah Martinez; nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Serving as pallbearers are Danny Martinez, Robert Gauna, Alfonso Reyes, Ezekiel Martinez, Samuel BlackRaven and Abraham Hernandez.
