Nina Ruth Merideth

Nina Ruth Merideth, 53, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Highland Church of Christ with David Lang officiating. Burial will follow in Dudley Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Nina was raised in Eula, Texas where she attended Eula ISD, graduating in the class of 1976. She was a member of the Highland Church of Christ and Faith Seekers Class.

Nina's children and grandchildren were the joy of her life. She cherished the time spent with family and friends. We will cherish the loving memories of her smile, her laughter, her love for others, and most of all, her life. She was special and unique. She will forever live in our memories and the many stories that will be told during our continued family gatherings she loved so much. Nina lived life to the fullest. Like Mema said: "The grass never grows under Nina's feet."

Survivors include a daughter, Amanda and husband Eric Garcia of Abilene; a son, Pat Merideth of Abilene; 2 brothers, Richard and wife Sally Bross of Abilene, Earl and wife Kathy Bross of Eula, TX; 3 grandchildren, Alexis Shauntae Garcia (10), Brianna Nicole Garcia (7), and Cayden Joshua Garcia (4), all of Abilene; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents, Pat Lee and Lenora Ann Bross of Eula and a brother, Edward Lee Bross of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

Pallbearers are Pat Merideth, Jade Lamb, John Bross, Heath Rhodes, Brandon Hobbs, Brett Underwood, Cody Hagle and Dale Meyer.
