Michelle Lynn Boone, 43, of Abilene, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, in Abilene. She was born on September 3, 1979, at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. She lived her early days in Florida and moved to Abilene at the age of nine. Michelle attended Wylie Schools and graduated from the Cisco Junior College nursing program. She worked as a Home Health Nurse for many years and was a loving and compassionate person who cared deeply for all. Michelle was a devoted mother and wife as well as her sons’ biggest fan. She served as a baseball volunteer and mom to many players, teams, and organizations in the Abilene area.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Boone of Abilene; two sons, Austin and Carson Boone of Abilene; parents, John and Kathleen Sargent of Marshall, TX; sisters, Penny Strickland of Vero Beach, FL, Jamie Sargent of Rosenberg, TX, Kati Batten and wife Meghann of Richmond, VA; parents-in-law, Richard and Judy Boone of Abilene; grandparents, Aaron and Sally Strickland of Phenix City, AL and Alice Zakovec of High Bridge, WI; sister-in-law, Lindsey Brewster and husband Bart of Abilene; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; close friends, Tyler and Family. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Michael Strickland.
A Rosary Service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 30, 2022, at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation and reception to follow. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 31, 2022, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Adam Droll officiating. A private graveside service will follow at Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories.
