Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation and sharing memories on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home 5701 US Highway 277 S. Abilene, Texas 79606 from 5-7:00 PM.
Mike was born on January 22, 1978 in Abilene to Michael and Linda (Boulware) Rubner. At age seven, his dad put him on a mini bike and he never stopped riding. Mike was a mischievous kid and earned the nickname, “Outlaw”. He attended Abilene High School and graduated in 1997. He married his high school sweetheart Kristi Raye Fuller on October 8, 1999. Together they began a family that grew into three smart and determined daughters. He began his career at Aapple Muffler for many years. He was currently employed with My Mechanic of Abilene.
Outlaw loved the outdoors and being on the water fishing. He especially loved riding his motorcycle. He was the VP of Second to None. Outlaw never met a stranger. His loud, fun and outgoing personality drew him to people and people were naturally drawn to him. He was loyal to those he cared for. It was not unusual for him to drop what he was doing to help somebody fix something; there was nothing in front of him he could not fix. He enjoyed the simple things in life and loved having a good time. His passing brings to a close a life full of precious memories, amazing friends and dedication to hard work and his legacy will live on for generations to come.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Chet and Bess Rubner; close friends, Kendrick “Juju” Evans and Dusty Childress.
He leaves to cherish precious memories his beloved wife, Kristi Rubner; his daughters, Krischelle, Victoria, Stephanie and honorary daughter, Grace Vinson; parents Michael, Sr. and Linda Rubner; his siblings, Melissa Johnson(William), and Robert Reeves(Melissa); aunts and uncles, Mark Rubner, Pam Denson, Jan Smith and John Rubner. He also leaves two cousins he grew up with, Eric and Justin; his in laws, Moe, Nathan Todd, Amanda Fuller, Kathyrn Braley, and Tricia Ballaro; godfathers, Darrell Alexander and Kenneth Putnam; "brothers”, Fatboy, Booker “Boo” Fobbs and Bobby “Toolboxx” Connor; his entire Second to None family; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews; and special friends.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.elliott-hamil.com for the Rubner family.
