Mike was born on August 31, 1960 in Elmira, New York to the late Angelo Dominick Pallone and Doris Ann (Burt) Pallone. At a young age, Mike’s father passed away. He joined the workforce at an early age and learned to be independent to help his mother. Ever the great risk taker he along with three friends loaded up in his Buick Rivera and headed to Dallas Texas in 1979. The rest was history. He soon arrived in little Town of Mertzon and began working with Permian Trucking. He later began working with Thorp Trucking where he established a lifelong friendship with the family through their son Jim. He loved being a truck driver. He eventually settled in Abilene where he worked for Bontke Brothers Construction he met Elisa Bontke and 19 years later their paths would cross again working at Abimar Foods. Together they started a relationship and enjoyed creating many special memories.
Mike’s life is a testament to determination and resilience. As life presented him with many challenges, he always managed to land back on his feet again. Mike was humble and a realist he would never claim perfection. He approached life with an optimistic approach. He had a unique sense of humor and enjoyed making those around him laugh. He loved racing drag or NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Peggy Sue Pallone; paternal grandparents, Dominick Pallone and Beatrice Putnam and maternal grandparents, Truman and Reva Burt.
He is survived by his sister, Reva Pallone and wife, Mary; numerous cousins; his significant other, Elisa Bontke, special friends Jim and Debbie Thorp; numerous co-workers who were like family to him.
Family and friends will gather privately in remembrance of his life.
