

Malcolm Marshall, 71, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Highway 277 South, with Rudy Fambrough officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, at the funeral home.
Malcolm was born on December 15, 1940 in San Marcos, Texas. He was a loving husband, Dad, and PaPaw. Malcolm loved woodworking, fishing, and was an avid reader, but most of all he loved his family. Malcolm had worked in the warehouse for a wholesale plumbing company and was also a member of Crescent Heights Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Jack and Hazel Rogers.
Survivors include his wife, Helon Marshall of Abilene; two sons, James Hanke of Abilene and Joseph Hanke and wife, Nikki, of Maine; five daughters, Kathy Middleton and husband, Jeral, of Hawley, Teresa Elmore and husband, Henry, Margaret Wilkerson, Beverly Sartor and husband, George, and Kathy Herd, all of Abilene; one brother, James Rogers and wife, Louise, of Panhandle, Texas; three sisters, Wanda Caddell and husband, Larry, of Springtown, Texas, Yvonne Lang and husband, Keith, of Glencove, Texas, and Sharon Scott of Hawley, Texas; fourteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
