Jimmy K. Williams

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2011, in Buffalo Gap Cemetery, Buffalo Gap, Texas, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Jimmy was born on November 8, 1937 to Loretta (Lindsey) and R.C. Williams in Alba, Texas. He was raised in Abilene and graduated from Wylie High School in 1955. Jimmy married Dorothy Richardson on August 18, 1956. He served his country in the United States Army from 1960 - 1988, serving in the Vietnam War. Jimmy enjoyed playing golf. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Dora Denise Williams-Draper.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Williams of Buffalo Gap, Texas; a son, Robert Williams and wife, Donna, of Buffalo Gap; a daughter, Brenda Woods and husband, Scott, of Alabama; three sisters, Alice Zirkle of Cross Lanes, West Virginia, Beatrice Anthony of Hamby, Texas, and Nina Marie Dunigan of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Natasha, Erik, Ilila, Robert-Charles, Katie, and Casandra; and great-grandchildren, Michael, Harry, Wyatt, Gracie, Carolyn, Max, Gavin, Sean and numerous nieces and nephews.
