Judd (Brown), Ida Belle, 92 was born on October 24, 1925 in Merkel, Texas to James and Sibbie Brown. She passed quietly and gently into the hands of her Lord Jesus Christ on February 23, 2018. Ida Belle Brown and Wilburn D Judd were married March 26, 1945. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 72 years, Wilburn D Judd, two sisters and six brothers. She is survived by three daughters; Paula Stubblefield (husband Les), Carla Johnson (husband Geoben) and Juin Maple (husband Tim). She had eight grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Ida Belle will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her wit, firm family guidance and her homemade holiday candies. Ida Belle loved to care for her family and her extended family. She worked as a cafeteria manager in the Abilene School District until retiring in 1986.She was a devout Christian, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a solid rock for her family. She will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her.
A funeral service to celebrate a life that was rich in blessings and well-lived will be held at 1:00 p.m.; Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St., Abilene, TX, with interment to follow at Potosi Cemetery, Potosi, TX. The family will receive friends during visitation on Friday, March 2, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
