Edward Dennis Rodriguez

Edward Dennis Rodriguez, 70, of Abilene, passed away on September 8, 2016. Funeral services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5410 Buffalo Gap Rd., with Father Adam Droll officiating Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 1:00 PM, with burial following in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 7:00PM on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St.

Edward was born in Manhattan, NY, on August 25, 1946, to Victor Rodriguez, Sr. and Carmen Rios. Edward married the love of his life, Lupe on August 30, 1998 in Abilene. He was employed in retail sales at Lowe’s and sales at Frontier Motors in Abilene.

Preceding him in death were his father; and his brother, David Rodriguez. Survivors include his wife, Lupe Rodriguez of Abilene; his mother, Carmen Rodriguez of Abilene; daughters, Vanessa Soto and Denise Rodriguez of New York; two grandchildren, Michael Soto and Skylar Rodriguez of New York; two step-daughters, Silvia Rodriguez of San Antonio, and Desma and Hector Montalvo of Abilene; step-sons, Herman and Suzanne Ramos of Abilene, Louis Ramos of Memphis, TN, and Hector “Bobby” and Alicia Ramos of Houston; and many step-grandchildren.
