Earnest George Harris, Jr., 52, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at a local medical center in Abilene. Memorial services will be determined at a later date. Arrangements were handled by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South.
Earnest was born on December 16, 1961 to Earnest and Bertha Dean Roberts Harris, Sr. in Abilene, TX. He was employed as an operator in the oil field industry.
Preceding him in death were his father; his uncles, Clifford Roberts and Herb Ison; and a grandson, Joseph Navarette.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Dianne Harris; his mother, Bertha Reynolds and husband, Clyde; his sons, Cory and Brandon Harris; his daughter, Aimee Harris; his brothers, Steve Harris, Ricky Reynolds, and William Reynolds and wife, Janna all of Abilene; his sisters, Shirley Ford and husband, Jerry of Corpus Christi, Sue Jones of Abilene, Paula King and husband, Tom of White Settlement, Donna Bridda and Michelle Brasher both of Abilene; grandchildren, Addison Harris and Brynlee Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
