Earlie L. Payne, 88, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at a local hospital. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 at Galilee Baptist Church, directed by Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd, Abilene. Burial will follow in Abilene City Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Earlie Payne was born February 16, 1925 in Abilene. Texas to Willie Payne and Dollie Johnson Payne. Earlie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a devoted and faithful member of Galilee Baptist Church.
Earlie is survived by his sister, Annie Jackson of Abilene; daughters Lora Martin of Abilene, Diane Pipkins and Gertie Sims, both of Dallas, Billie M Payne also of Abilene; sons, Earlie L. Payne, Jr. (Bubba) and Larry D. Payne of Abilene; along with a host of nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
