Donna Regan

Donna LaVerne Regan, 75, of Abilene passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 9:30am on Thursday, December 6, 2018 in the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, located at 542 Hickory St., with burial following in Texas State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6 to 8pm on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Donna was born on July 14, 1943 to Lawrence and Naomi Tubman in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She was an active member of First Gospel Assembly in Tye and served as Office Manager for their affiliated private school. Donna married Dennis Regan on January 9, 1988. She was an avid bowler and participated in several bowling leagues over the years, most recently in the “Go-Getters” at Dyess Bowl.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; and a great-granddaughter, Makayla.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis; daughters, Lauretta Stewart and Lecia Norcott and husband Chris; son, Robert Stewart Jr. and wife Jessica; stepchildren, Patri Bailey and Shawn Regan and wife Tina; brother, Larry Tubman and wife Helen; 20 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rescue the Animals, Taylor Jones Humane Society, or Abilene Pet Crusaders.
