A Tribute
Debra was an incredible person. How can I put into words the life that she lived? She was a fierce fighter for those who did not have the ability. She stood up and spoke truth and captivated hearts and minds in everything that she did. She loved animals and rescued more than anyone could ever know. She was one of my best friends and I looked up to her in so many ways. She was gravity to everyone around her and kept everything aligned and in motion. She was so full of life and love and leaves such a void that will be impossible to fill. Her legacy will be that everyone that was blessed enough to know her is now better for it and learned so much from her and can continue to do what she loved and was so passionate about. I know that she is where she always dreamed about being, and one day I will see her again. Until then be kind to one another and hug your friends and family a little tighter. I love you my friend.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Debra’s honor to the Abilene Animal Shelter.
