David Lawrence Gaston

David was born on November 16, 1952 in Albuquerque, NM. to Lawrence and Gladys Gaston. He received his masters degree from Hardin Simmons University, and taught special education for 15 years in Hawley, TX.

On December 23, 1982, he married Stephanie Sexton. Together they raised twins Jennifer Odenwelder and James Gaston, until her passing in 1997.

David was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence, and his mother, Gladys. He is survived by his daughter Jennifer, his son James, his sister Gloria, his niece Erika, and granddaughter Lilly.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 27th, 2021 at the Buffalo Gap cemetery on 3241 FM-89 at 10:00 am. Flowers may be sent to Elliott-Hamil funeral home at 5701 US Highway 277 S Abilene, TX.
