Angela was born on November 2, 1963 in Abilene to the late Joe Dale and Essie (Norris) Sparks. She grew up moving often following her parents teaching careers on Native American reservations across the Southwest and Alaska. Angela graduated from Gainesville High School in 1982 and went on to attend Cook County Community College also in Gainesville. She eventually transferred to McMurry in Abilene. She moved to California for several years and began her banking career. Upon returning back to Abilene she continued her banking career at First Financial Bank. She married the love of her life Kevin Lewis Howell on February 16, 1990 in Abilene at the Foursquare Church her grandparents built. Together Angela and Kevin raised their two sons and created many memories as a family. Her life changed yet again when she became an independent beauty consultant with Mary Kay. She was able to help other women grow, and develop as leaders. She went onto managing several dentist offices and retired in 2015 from Dr. David Hilliard's office. She retired from office management to devote herself fully to Mary Kay, she grew her business and was able to pour into others and was eventually promoted to Director and received numerous awards for her dedication. Mary Kay was a perfect fit for Angela because she genuinely cherished relationships. She was also active with the Christian Business Women’s organization whose mission she loved and followed. Though busy family was the center of her life she was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and loved being GiGi. Words can’t not adequately convey the amazing human being Angela was. Her legacy will live on in the way she lighted up not only rooms but the world as she went along.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Dale Sparks and Essie Bright; and her beloved aunt, Alice Norris.
She leaves to cherish precious memories, her husband of 32 years, Kevin Howell; her sons, Justin Howell, and Jon Howell and his wife, Rachel; two grandchildren, Davien and Ira Howell; her brother, Richard Sparks and his wife, Terri; uncle Dewayne Sparks and his wife, Edie; a special cousin, Judy Carpenter and her husband; numerous other relatives, special friends and her Mary Kay Family.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.elliott-hamil.com for the Howell family.
