Victoria passed away peacefully at 90 on November 23, 2016 at MSA Manor in Abbotsford. She is survived by her daughter Laura (Ron) Peleshytyk of Abbotsford, Linda (Bryan) Laver of Penticton, her grandchildren Rick (Leanna) Peleshytyk of Kelowna, Derek (Alisa) Peleshytyk of Nanaimo, Shani (Kevin) Laver Epp of Penticton, Sean (Michiko) Laver of Niigata, Japan and Shane Laver of Victoria and her great grandchildren Megan, Justin, Jackson, Leo, Tayler, Kiera and Miyu. Victoria loved being “Grannie” to all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and they all fondly remember “making memories” with her through the years. Victoria’s family has wonderful memories of her cinnamon buns and huge platters of homemade perogies. She had a “green thumb” and kept her little balcony overflowing the flowers. She loved to travel and took many bus trips and after she discovered cruising, loved to be spoiled on the ships. During her time at MSA Manor she became an avid bingo player and enjoyed winning chocolate bars and having walks in their garden admiring all the flowers. The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the staff at MSA Manor for their loving care of Victoria over the past two and a half years. A private family Celebration of Life will be held in the future.
Arrangements under the direction of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Abbotsford, BC.
