She is survived by her loving husband Al; three daughters Sharon (Dale) Stewart, Barb (Paul) Sweeney, Yvonne Loewen (Ron Jansen), 7 grandchildren; sister, Beth Giesbrecht and brother, Neil Klassen.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Henderson’s Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 11:00 at Henderson’s Fraser Valley Funeral Home with Major. Lynda Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at Hazelwood cemetery.
In remembrance of Selma and her love for the colour red, the family would like to encourage you to wear red to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Cancer Society. Also, as Selma was a dedicated volunteer of the BC Blood Donor Clinic a donation of your time to the clinic would be much appreciated.
