Noreen Denise was born to parents Ethel and William Jewell on Valentines Day 1940. Noreen and her mom lived in the Okanagan before moving to the Lower Mainland where Noreen’s father re-joined them after he served in the war.
Noreen married Jim Hill in 1985. They began their lives together living in the the Lower Mainland eventually moving to Kamloops for Jim’s career. Noreen then moved to Abbotsford after Jim passed away.
Noreen passed away peacefully on September 13, 2020. She was predeceased by her loving husband Jim of 28 years, her brother in law David, Jim’s daughter Colleen, Colleen’s husband Derrick and her granddaughter Shannon. Remembering Noreen with love and respect are her children and their families: Kathy, Rob, Michael and Alannah; Bob, Kylie, Jessica, Tom (Carson, Jackson), Hanna, Shelly and James; Tom, Margo, Dean (Brooklyn, Cade), Gary and Rupy (Ty, Navin); Jeanette and Kevin (Tanner, Quinn); Kevin and Robin (Hunter); Lucy, Jim, Damian, Erin (Tyson, Savanna), and Breanne (Victoria, Taylor).
Noreen loved her sister Penny and brother in law Roger, her nieces Carissa, Leah, Trina and their families, who she maintained a close relationship with throughout her life. Noreen and Jim also enjoyed spending time with his sister Bernice and brother in law David, their nephews Jeff, Greg and their families.
Noreen was social and enjoyed work surrounded by people. She collected many friends along the way which she held close. She loved the Kamloops Blazer Hockey team and working at the Lottery booth, but mostly she loved her family. She will be missed by her extended family, many friends and of course, her beloved dog, Kasey.
A Celebration of Life for Noreen will be held on Saturday, September 26 at 11: 00 am for her immediate family. The celebration will be streamed live for extended family and friends. There will also be an edited version available for viewing at a later date.
