Myrtle was born near Aberdeen, Saskatchewan April 15,1938. Her parents, Henry and Agnus
Wiebe, worked hard on their farm and built a beautiful life for her and her younger sister, Doreen.
Upon graduating from high school, Myrtle attended Bethany Bible Institute in Hepburn, Saskatchewan. It was there that her faith in God deepened. She also met her sweetheart, Sam Regier during her time there. They married after bible school in 1959 and settled in Saskatoon.
Shortly after, Myrtle was pleased to get a job in the Medical Records Department at the University Hospital. She also spent time teaching Sunday School and was involved working with the Junior Choir in their church.
It wasn’t long before they started a family. They had 2 sons while living in Saskatoon. Daren was born in1962 and Randy in 1965. Later they moved to Regina and in1967 where their daughter Stacey was born.
Although moving away from their family in Saskatoon was a leap of faith, Myrtle and Sam felt that God was placing them in Regina for a purpose. It was there that they raised their family.
Myrtle was a wonderful home-maker and mother. She found motherhood to be enjoyable and fulfilling. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were a source of pride and joy. She loved each one of them.
In 2012, life’s circumstances brought them to Abbotsford. They were happy to live close to their son Randy (and family) again and Myrtle’s sister and family too. They found a church community at Ross Road Community Church. Myrtle enjoyed being a part of this vibrant church and along with her husband Sam, they led a home Bible study group which was most fulfilling.
Myrtle is predeceased by her father, Henry Wiebe, mother, Agnus Wiebe and her sister Doreen Raabe.
