On a winter's night of November 30th, 1955 in a small town of St. George, Manitoba, Monique Claudette Dupont was born. She was the only girl of 5 siblings. Monique always wanted to see the mountains and ocean on the West Coast of BC. When she graduated school, she packed her bags and boarded a train, never to look back.
Many friends and family knew her as "Mama". She always had the door open to anyone who needed a place to stay or a warm meal to eat. She took care of others before herself and that's how she became forever known as Mama.
December 19th, 2022 was a beautiful snowy evening, when at the young age of 67 Monique Claudette Dupont passed away from her battle with cancer, with her children by her side.
She is survived by her two children, Destin and Desiree and her dog Prada.
A graveside service will be held in the spring of 2023, at Gardens of Gethsemani in Surrey, BC.
