Mary Kroeker was the sixth child of Cornelius and Sarah Kroeker. The family immigrated to Canada in 1925, and settled on a farm near Alexander. She was born in Whitehead District, near Alexander, Manitoba on March 1, 1928. Mary got her elementary education there at Robert Burns Elementary School. For many years she worked for Olympic Meats in Richmond until her retirement. For enjoyment Mary loved to travel; touring Hawaii, the Holy Land, Europe and Australia. She also loved to quilt with the MCC quilting group, as well as make quilted gifts for her family. On June 11, 2012, at 3:20 a.m., the Lord caller her home. Mary is predeceased by her parents, brothers, Cornelius and John and sisters, Tina and Hulda. Mary will be remembered by her sister Anne, sisters-in-law Helen and Helena, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations made in her memory to the M.B. Missions Trek Program would be appreciated. Viewing will be held Thursday, June 21 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford with a Celebration of Life service Friday, June 22, 1:30 pm at Bakerview MB Church, 2285 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford.
